Civil Records of Births, Marriages and Deaths. In order to qualify for Irish Citizenship by Descent you do need to provide the Irish authorities with a certified, official birth record of your Irish born Grandparent / Parent. We can search for and provide these records. Certificate Search and Certified Record Charges: If you know, to within five years, the birth, marriage or death date of your ancestor, a search for this record and retrieval of a full, certified copy of the record will cost as below: 110, US$140, Stg£90 These charges include cost of research and official copies of the certificates. To obtain the civil records of your Irish born ancestors contact us at morriganresearch@eircom.net. The records contain the following genealogy information Birth certificates state the person's date of birth, first names and gender, mothers maiden names, father's names, address and occupation. It also gives the signature, qualification and residence of the person who informed the registrar of the birth. At the head of the certificate is to be found the name of the county and division of the registrar's district in which the birth was officially registered. Marriage certificates state the date of marriage, the name of the couple, their ages, martial status prior to this marriage, their rank or profession, their residence at the time of marriage, the names and occupation of their father's. The name of the presiding priest/minister and the names of the witnesses to the marriage also appear. Death certificates state the date and location of death, name and surname of the deceased, his/her martial status, age, rank, profession, or occupation, cause of death and duration of illness, date of registration, signature, address and qualification of the informant.
